iOS 10.2.1 Beta 4 Now Available to Download

If you are a developer or public beta tester, you might be happy to know that Apple just released the newest beta version of iOS 10.2.1. The new beta version that came out is iOS beta 10.2.1 beta 4, and it is available now if you are part of the public beta program that Apple is running. If you are a developer, you also will have access to the newest iOS 10.2.1 beta download.

You must be registered through the Apple Developer Program if you are a developer in order to get the newest beta update. The new iOS update comes within days of the newest macOS Sierra beta release, which put the macOS beta at 10.12.3 beta 4. Beta 4 for the macOS Sierra also hit just days after beta 3 hit the servers.

The new beta release of iOS 10.2.1 beta 4 is build number 14D27, and it was just about a week ago that beta 3 was released. Beta 3 was build number 14D23, and there was some problems with this beta which is why the new beta was released so quick. You can get the newest iOS 10.2.1 beta 4 if you are on an iPad, iPod Touch, or an iPhone. Given the information about the build number and timing, it seems that this update is just some improvements overall and comes with some glitch and bug fixes.

There has not been much released on the release notes, but this should just be an overall stability and vulnerability update. It seems that Apple is back on track in terms of beta software launches after the holiday break. It was only a week ago that beta 3 was released as well as the beta builds for macOS, watchOS, and tvOS.

If you are a developer, you can head on over to Apple’s Developer Portal to download iOS 10.2.1 beta 4. You also can tune your device to get these beta updates through the over-the-air update option as well. If you have not changed your settings to include the over-the-air update for the beta builds, going to the Developer Portal is the easiest way to get the newest beta update.

You also need to make sure that you have enrolled your iOS device into the program before you can download the newest beta update for iOS. Once you have your device enrolled, you can head to the Apple Beta Software Program site if you are a public beta tester.
