With the holiday season approaching, it is extremely important to get a head start on those deals. There are many useful apps when it comes to finding these deals, and having a bunch of deals in one place is a huge plus. Coupons can save you a ton of money on things you would buy every day, so there is little downside into looking at these apps if you plan on going to the grocery store, shop for a birthday present, or get a jump start on your holiday shopping. From my experience, all of these apps have awesome coupons and show you the best deals as soon as they become available. Another huge advantage to having an app like this is that you do not have to search through the newspaper, look online through a million different webpages, you will have them all at your finger tips.
My criteria for an app to make this list was relatively simple. If it could save me money on something I would purchase normally, it would definitely be considered to take a spot. On top of that, I wanted to be able to customize to see coupons in areas that interested me. For example, if I only wanted to filter for tech related coupons, I could do so. This saves a ton of time in having to scroll through a ton of coupons on things that are unrelated to you. So without any further introduction, here are what I consider to be the best apps for finding a great deal.
Ibotta takes the number five spot on the deals list because it is basically an online rebate machine. With Ibotta, you enter the stores that you go to, and Ibotta gives you rewards that you can redeem whenever you purchase those goods or shop at that store. For example, if you are going to the store to purchase a gallon of milk, you can check the app and will show you what you can get for purchasing a certain brand of milk. Most rewards range from twenty five cents to up to a couple dollars. Although this app does not directly give you coupons, it does give you discounts per se. I think this is a must have app for any shopper as it gives you cash back on the things that you already do.
Ibotta allows you to cash in on the things you do every day, and redeem those rewards straight to your bank account. Ibotta is as simple as taking a picture of your receipt, and waiting a few hours for confirmation to go through. I definitely recommend this app for any shopper, especially now that the holiday season is coming up, as it will definitely start to add up, and shopping will become a fun activity, rather than a trouble.
- Saving Star
Saving Star has actually been featured on one of those extreme couponing shows, exactly because of the amazing deals that you can find on it. Instead of offering deals on specific stores, Saving Star offers deals on specific brands that you can shop for at any store. All you have to do is link your supermarket savings card with the app, and the app will automatically pick up on any purchases that you make at the stores. The more you use the app, the more money you save, and similar to Ibotta, you will get rewards for using the app and the coupons inside.
Saving Star is a great app that has a ton of deals. This app is definitely more catered towards grocery shopping rather than anything electronic, but it definitely has a ton of great deals that can be taken advantage of.
- Retail Me Not
Retail Me Not is a great couponing app that has coupons for almost every store you could imagine. This app is directed more towards clothes and shopping at a mall rather than a convenience store. There are currently more than 500,000 total deals on the app, and over 50,000 retailers to choose from. You can even input your location, and the app will spit out the best deals in your area for whatever you are looking for.
Retail Me Not is definitely a favorite among the couponing community because it has so many offers on things that are not food related. The app is super easy to use. Simply load up whatever coupon you want, and have the cashier scan it. I have never had a coupon rejected from the app, and almost everywhere I go to shop for clothes has had some sort of deal through the app.
Groupon is probably one of the more popular apps on this list, and for a good reason. Groupon allows users to purchase vouchers for activities or items, and redeem them at the store. Groupon covers everything from skydiving to food. Groupon is super easy to use and offers a ton of great deals and activities. You can input your location and Groupon will spit out some things to do in the area. It is great not only for saving money on things you do every day, but also for finding new activities in your area.
I definitely recommend Groupon and would suggest it to be a must have app for anyone as it offers so much to you in terms of value. Whether you are just looking for a deal on a nice meal, or looking to save some money on groceries, Groupon has you covered. If there were one app to definitely download and checkout, it would be Groupon.
- Slick Deals
Without a doubt one of my personal favorite apps, Slick Deals offers the widest range of deals out of any app on this list. On top of that, you can set personal alarms for certain deals on certain products, and type of products. So if you are looking for a new television, you can set an indicator to go off whenever there is a new deal posted under televisions. Any time I have been looking for a big purchase, Slick Deals has always been my go to place to find the best bang for my buck. On top of that deals that are posted by the app, you can also check the forums to see what users have found and submitted. Although these deals are not always as reliable, sometimes some great deals fall through the cracks.
Whenever you are thinking about making a purchase, no matter how big or small, there is a good chance that Slick Deals has some sort of coupon or deal that can help you out and get you the best value for your money. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone as it has so many awesome deals that you simply cannot pass them up!
