If you have a car, you might be wondering about what some of the best mileage trackers are out there for iOS devices. We are going to tell you about some of the best mileage trackers, but first we wanted to tell you a little bit about why they might be important.

Some people use mileage tracking apps if they own a business or drive as part of their job duties, since you can be reimbursed for your mileage. You either can get a mileage deduction through your employer or you can take the deductions when it comes time to file your taxes. While some people might manually write down their mileage information, these days there are several mileage trackers for iOS that can do the job much more efficiently.

If you are using a mileage tracking system as part of your business or everyday life, regardless of purpose, you might want to know about which apps are considered the best mileage trackers for iOS devices. Here is our list of some of the best ones, with some being free and others costing just a few dollars.

Best Mileage Tracking Apps for iOS 2018

First on our list of best mileage trackers for iOS is MileIQ, which is free through Apple’s App Store. This is really one of the best apps out there for tracking your mileage because it has a ton of functions and features with it. Some of the features include automatic logs of your driving since this app has smart-drive technology built into it. You can even save your mileage tracking on the Cloud so that you can access this information from any device.

You will be able to export all of your information as well, which makes it handy come time for company reimbursement or IRS filing. MileIQ gives you 40 mileage tracks for free, but if you need more than that then you will need to purchase the subscription. Not to mention, MileIQ has a very nice user-interface and it is simple yet very reliable.

Everlance is also on our list of mileage trackers available for iOS that you should check into. Everlance is also free and it has a ton of options and features built into it. You can get trip start times and end times using the app, and it will automatically log and track your mileage. You can categorize the trips, add photos of gas or other expense receipts, and even show you an estimate of your taxable income.

You will also be able to export all of the information from Everlance into a CSV file quickly. Everlance also runs in the background using a battery-saving technology, so you will not have to worry about your iOS battery dying on you because of this app.

Mileage Expense Log

If we are talking about some of the best mileage trackers for iOS, then we have to talk about Mileage Expense Log, also known as MEL. This app is not free and it will cost you $3.99, although it is very much worth the price. There is a free version of the app available but really it is not worth your time, which is why you should automatically upgrade to the Pro version.

The only issue with this app is that it takes a little time to figure out the user-interface since it can be a bit confusing if you have never used a mileage tracking app before. Once you get the hang of it though, you will love the functions and features found in this app.

You will get automatic tracking of your trips, which is pretty cool, although you can manually track your mileage through this app too. Even better is that you can export to both HTML and CSV, so you have a couple options here that you do not have with other apps. Mileage Expense Log will also be compatible with your Apple Watch which is nice. This app will also sync to either Dropbox or iCloud, so that is an added bonus.

MileBug is also one of the best mileage trackers available for iOS. MileBug will cost you $2.99 but it is well worth the money because it has many options and features. This app will automatically email your mileage in HTML format or you can choose to have the report come through as an attachment.

You also will be able to use this whether you are using the mileage tracker as a personal app or a business app. The user-interface is nice but it is not too cramped with features that it takes away from the main function of the app. You will also be able to feel safe because all of your mileage is stored in the Cloud, which is pretty cool as well.

Lastly, on our list of best mileage trackers for iOS devices we have TripLog. This app is free, but if you are using these mileage trackers for business use, you might want to upgrade to one of the better subscription options. There are a lot of in-app purchases you can make in this app, which makes TripLog great for customization and personalization based on your own needs. We like this app because it really is one of the better apps out there for a business-related mileage tracking app, even being IRS compliant and keeping your records on point.

If you are using TripLog for a business purpose, getting the bigger subscription plan and purchasing a lot of the in-app options are going to be better for you. This app will do a ton of things like automatically track your mileage, allow you to categorize trips, ability to export and sync, and much more. So this is one of those apps that is what you make of it, so if you want to keep it basic and just use for personal mileage tracking you can do that as well.
