We just got some exciting news from Arc System Works as the company just announced BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is coming to Steam this year. The company announced that BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, which is an anime fighter game, will hit Steam on June 5, 2018. We are super excited about this news because Arc System Works already has a 2D fighting game coming out for PC later this year called Dragon Ball FighterZ. This new game from the Japanese developer will be another anime fighter game and we have all of the latest details so keep reading to learn about this game.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle- A New Anime Fighter Game for Steam

The fact that another cool anime fighter game is coming to Steam in June is great news. The only downside is that we do not have a ton of details yet about the new game. We do know BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is going to have 20 characters to start out. These characters are coming from the four different franchises. Those franchises include RWBY, Under Night In-Birth, BlazBlue, and Persona 4 Arena. You can tag the characters in and out of the fights. There will be fireballs and lightning in this game, as well as huge hair-dos.

The Japanese developer, Arc System Works, also announced some of the DLC is going to be available in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle on Steam. You will be able to get Blake Belladonna as the first DLC character. As you might or might not already know, Blake Belladonna is from RWBY, and is a famous and beloved characters of the franchise. There will be 20 characters altogether that are going to be available in the DLC. So you get 20 characters to start off in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, and you get 20 DLC characters too. That is pretty impressive that you will have 40 characters total to choose from when you go into battles.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Comes to Steam June 5

We also know that with the DLC on Steam, there will be sets of three. You can also choose the season pass bundle, which would require you pay for all of the DLC upfront. Some fans of BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle might want to get the season pass and have all of the DLC characters paid for up front. Other people might not like the fact that half of the characters that are planned for the game will be behind the DLC paywall. That is how a lot of games are doing things these days, as it is a way to make money due to the interest in getting all of the characters.

As for Arc System Works itself, it has only been in the North American headquarters since November 2017. There are already two games planned by the developer to come out this year, and we can expect even more games in the future. These two new fighting games are going to likely be the first of quite a few to launch on Steam, although we might not get another new one this year. We expect that in the next couple years, Arc System Works will be putting out several fighting games for Steam, with the focus on those four franchises we mentioned earlier.

So tell us in the comments what you think of this news. Are you more excited for BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle than you are for the new Dragon Ball FighterZ game? Do you agree with putting 20 characters for BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle behind the DLC paywall?
