Over the last year Scott Cawthon has gotten a huge amount of praise for his unique horror game called Five Night’s at Freddy’s. The fourth launch title in the series was set to release on Halloween night this year but Cawthon has decided that because he loves the fans that have made his series such a huge success, he has released the game on July 23rd! So as the final installment in this horror game franchise will all the strings be tied together in the plot or will Cawthon leave his audience with unanswered questions that they must answer for themselves.
Why Release So Early? What is Five Night’s at Freddy’s?
Ever since April, Scott has been teasing the fans with theatrical posters of the game asking questions and each poster had a release date of October 31st which adds a spooky Halloween feeling to the game. A few weeks ago though he stated that he wants to release the game on the 1 year anniversary of the 1st game coming out ( wow 4 successful games in less than 1 year) on August 8th and that to stick true to his October 31st date he would release free downloadable content for the game on Halloween so everyone is a winner.
I guess Scott Cawthon was just so excited to show his fans the game because he released it earlier than the early release date which isn’t surprising because he did the same exact thing with Five Nights at Freddy’s 3. We can’t blame Scott for being so impatient because his games have been so successful that even Warner Brothers picked up the rights and will be making a horror movie based on the games so congrats to Scott for his amazing game!
For those who have never heard of this series and would like to get an idea of what it is about I will explain it in the simplest of terms, but if you decide to research more you must understand that the game has so many easter eggs that it is quite a complex game for such a straightforward plot. So basically for most of the games (except the newest installment where you are a kid in their bedroom) players are the security guards at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria a local family pizzeria with animatronics.
The thing is you are not there during the day, you are working the night shift from midnight until 12am with only a flashlight and a few doors to protect the from animatronics. I do not want to spoil too much as to whether the animatronics are real or figments of your imagination but what is important to remember is that they think humans are exo skeletons with out costumes so they want to stuff the security guard in a costume but this would kill him because the costumes have wires and beams. The main part is to survive from Monday until Friday and the bonus nights afterwards but this is just the simplest way of putting it because there is so much more content in the game that if you are interested I highly recommend checking out the entire series.
Will this be coming to IOS?
Since this game released on the 23rd of July I would give it about 10 days maximum before the IOS and Android version is released. This game has not only drawn a PC crowd but it has been one of the top apps on the app store because the mechanics of the game transition over nicely on mobile devices. This game will probably be $2.99 just like the others or maybe a little more on release but if you have become interested in this plot or already love the series I highly recommend checking out this 4th installment in the series and please try not to get too scared with the jump scares in the game.
