Google Finally announced Android Nougat

Google Finally announced Android Nougat: – Finally Google has announced the full name of Android N and the next version of Android will be called as the Android Nougat.

The Android Nougat name will going to continue the tradition of naming major Android releases after the desserts. It was first started with the Android 1.5 Cupcake, then followed by Android 1.6 Donut, then Android 2.0 Éclair, then came Android 2.2 Froyo and then came Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The pattern was continued with the Android 3.0 Honeycomb, then Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, then Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, then came Android 4.4 KitKat, then came Android 5.0 Lollipop and finally came the Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Last month, at the conference of its annual developer Google I/O, the company had invited the users to help the name of Android N. It is clear if the Android Nougat name was the popular choice among suggestions, or it was something that Google narrowed down on its own. Interestingly, Nougat was the third most popular choice in the poll of our own.
The new version, i.e. the Android N will bring improvements like the multi-window support, revamped doze, number blocking, enhanced notifications and more.

Announcement of Android Nougat

Google made the announcement of the Android Nougat via Twitter but yet there are no definite words on the release date of the new Android version other than ‘later this summer’ time-line that was already announced earlier.
Before the announcement of Thursday’s the word nougat represented a family of the confections that was made with honey or sugar, whipped egg whites, roasted nuts and sometimes chopped candies fruit also.
