If you have an Android device, we are warning you about a new glitch that is impacting the Google Inbox app. The issue is that people are not getting notifications of new emails, which could be a very serious issue for some people.
If you are waiting on emails from important people, you might wan to refresh the app itself in order to see if you have any new emails. We have all of the latest news about the Google Inbox app notifications bug and what it could mean for you.
Google Inbox App Notifications Glitch Angers Users
The Google Inbox app glitch with the notifications is angering a lot of users of the app. There is some sort of technical issue going on that is preventing the app from displaying the notifications of a new email. Of course, people rely on the notifications to know when they have a new email waiting on them.
This was a glitch that appeared after the latest updated of the Google Inbox Android app. It is not believed to have been occurring before this latest Google Inbox app update. You have to now manually open up the app itself and refresh the page to see if you have new emails.
For many people, this notifications glitch is very annoying and also time-consuming. The point of the notifications were to alert you of a new email so you do not have to go into the app to check. Some people began noticing the issue about September 15, although it was just a couple people at that point in time. Once the new update rolled out on September 27, that is when the majority of people began seeing the Google Inbox notifications glitch. The app is now not giving out any notifications at all for any of the emails that are newly received in the app.
Google Inbox Notifications Glitch Impacting Various Android Devices
What makes the Google Inbox notifications glitch even worse is that it is affecting a ton of different Android devices. The OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T and 5 are impacted, along with the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6. The Samsung Galaxy S6, S7, and S8 are also impacted by this issue. The Pixel and Pixel XL, which are Google Android smartphones, are also experiencing the issue.
All of these devices require that you open the Google Inbox app manually in order to refresh to get your new emails. It does not matter if you have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled the app. No matter what people are doing, the notifications glitch is still happening. Even completely restarting the device is not fixing this problem. Even those emails that have priority notifications are not getting through, which is definitely a bad sign.
Google Inbox App Fix Hopefully Coming Soon
The good news is that hopefully Google will be putting out a fix for this issue soon. Google was notified of the notifications glitch. Google said that the team would be investigating the issue and hopefully that means a fix is coming soon. If you are relying on emails, especially for work, then you might want to download an alternate email client for now.
It would be better to download another app and use it because we do not know when Google will fix the issue. It is likely a server-side issue that will not require another update to be added but who knows at this point in time. The main point here is to just go ahead and use another email client and hopefully within the next week Google will have a fix pushed out for this notifications glitch.
