I believe that everyone has heard about LEGOs, be it when they played and build things with them or when they went to watch a LEGO movie at the cinema. The LEGO building blocks have been popular among kids and adults alike, ever since they got created by a Danish man. What you might not know is the fact that LEGO is the largest toy manufacturer in Europe and the second largest in the whole world.

Because of LEGO’s popularity, game developer Funcom decided to develop its own LEGO mobile game, and release it for both Android and iOS devices. The game has not been doing so well on the iOS App Store, which is why Funcom decided to erase the $4,99 price tag and offer the game for free! So if you enjoy LEGO games, you should definitely grab a copy!

What is LEGO Minifigures Online all about?

LEGO Minifigures Online is similar to a Massively Multiplayer Online game (or MMO for short) and was released for the PC, as a freemium game. The developers of LEGO Minifigures Online have made changes to the game since then, which made the game a whole lot better.

The game is now available on both Google Play Store and iOS App Store, with the original price of $4,99 on both platforms. However, the game is now free to download on iOS App Store. Even though you have to pay to unlock more areas in the game, there is no in-game store where you need to purchase extra lives or anything like that.

When you first start playing LEGO Minifigures Online, you are able to select a hero character, which could be a Roman Warrior or even a regular Plumber. With your character, you need to go through several worlds and successfully complete adventures. One of the first worlds in the game is in the form of a pirate island, where you can meet other random players around the world and form groups.

The goal in LEGO Minifigures Online is to form groups with your friends and random players around the world, and go on missions to defeat enemy characters. While you are playing the game, you are also able to collect Minifigures, which basically are characters that you can add to your team and play as. There are also several rare Minifigures that you can only purchase in the in-game store, in order to play as them.

Is LEGO Minifigures Online worth the original $4,99 price tag?

It is very difficult to answer this question, especially because the answer depends on the fact if you enjoy playing LEGO games or not. A positive aspect about LEGO Minifigures Online is that it contains a lot of humor, especially at the beginning of the gameplay.

During the tutorial, you will learn the basics of the game, but you will also watch several tremendously funny cut scenes and listen to voiceovers. I have found myself chuckling at some of the texts on the screen, which regularly show up. I must also admit that the voices of all of the characters are very nicely done.

Next to the humor in the game, it is also very nice that LEGO Minifigures Online is a real LEGO game. The level designs and environments feel familiar while you are playing the game, the characters are very nicely designed and you can even construct LEGO buildings in some places of the game.

It also does not matter whether you play LEGO Minifigures Online on PC, Android or iOS, because all of the servers are combined, which means that you will be able to see all of the players. This is especially nice for people who own different brand smartphones, but still would like to be able to play the game together.
