New version of Google Chromecast launched for Rs. 3,339: The technology giant Google today has launched the new version of its Internet streaming device Chromecast for Rs 3,399 in India. At the same price in India the company has also introduced the Chromecast Audio which was launched last year in the US.

Mickey Kim the Head Asia Pacific of Chromecast Partnership told in report that – with fresh content, a sleek design and an updated app the Chromecast will make the streaming easier and faster.
Chromecast Audio is a new device that will plug into speakers to stream and to control the podcasts, music and radio over Wi-Fi. By using the Chromecast, the users can add the smart TV functionality easily to their television to stream the content from video services like Netfix and You Tube.
Now Chromecast is available in 32 countries and about 20 million users globally are using the Chromecast. However, the company till now had not disclose specific data of any country.
This device will be easily through marketplaces like Snapdeal, Paytm and Flipkart as well as with the retailers like Croma and Reliance. In India early last year the previous version of the Chromecast was unveiled.
In India the company also have some partners like Saavan, Ditto, Hungama, Hooq and Yupp Tv. The other Internet Streaming devices which are selling in India include Teewe and also those from firms like Amkette.
The sales of the Internet streaming devices are more expected to pick up as on-demand video services like Netfix and today this has become very popular.
With six months of free subscription the devices will come in bundled for Saavan and Hooq.
This will also let user to play games like the famous Angry Birds on their Television by using their smartphones as the controller.
