Android Pie Rolling Out to Nokia 6.1 Devices Right Now

Starting this week, if you have a Nokia 6.1 device, you will be able to download the official Android Pie update. Android Pie is Android 9.0, and it has not been released to that many Android devices as of yet. We figured that the Android One devices would be the first in line to receive the Android Pie update. We were right in that line of thinking, which is great. The Android One devices are supposed to get the new operating system updates before anyone else. Those Android One devices also should get the updates much quicker than anyone else.

It appears that in fact, Android One devices are getting the operating system updates much quicker with the news about Nokie 6.1. You might have already noticed the Android Pie update is ready for you on your Nokia 6.1 device, since the roll out started earlier in the week. Nokia 6.1 is the second of the Nokia devices to receive the Android Pie update. The Nokia 7 Plus received the update about a month ago, so we are onto the second device to get the new Android Pie update.

You will also notice that gesture navigation is part of Android Pie, and it works just how you have seen on the Google Pixel smartphones. The Nokia 6.1 offers a ton of features and functions itself, so this update just adds to the amazing user experience.

A lot of people have said that the Nokia 6.1 is the best budget smartphone for 2018, and we tend to agree that this phone is really worth the hype it is getting. If you did not already know, HMD Global is one of the first of the OEMs to be getting the Android Pie release. We are not shocked by this because HMD Global is very much wrapped up in the Android One program. This company is Finnish and has always maintained high-quality when it comes to Android smartphones. HMD Global also announced that more smartphones in the near future will be getting the Android Pie update.

Android Pie Hits Nokia 6.1 with Other Devices Soon Receiving Update

HMD Global also announced that Android Pie will soon be rolling out to the Nokia 6.1 Plus. The beta release happened at the beginning of October. After the Nokia 6.1 Plus gets Android Pie, then it will be onto the Nokia 8 and also the Nokia 8 Sirocco. These devices should be getting Android Pie sometime within the next month, so keep your eyes open for that to happen.
