About the OnePlus 5
The OnePlus 5 is launched hardly half a year after the introduction of the OnePlus 3T. The OnePlus 5 has better cameras compared to its predecessor. On the back, you will find a 16 megapixel camera with an aperture of f/1.7, and a second camera 20 megapixel camera with an aperture of f/2.6. The second camera is supposed to collect more data. When you take a photo with the OnePlus 5, the images of both cameras are merged. This results in sharper images, combined with a unique effect that makes the photos much more realistic.
The OnePlus 5 has a 5.5 inch display with a 1080p resolution. On the inside, you will find a Snapdragon 835 chipset, and 64 or 128GB of storage, depending on your model. The storage is not expandable with a memory card. However, the OnePlus does have room for two SIM cards, which is very useful for people with two phones. Out of the box, the OnePlus 5 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat. The manufacturer has confirmed that an update to Android 8.0 will be made available later this year. The device is not available through third-party carriers. If you are thinking about owning the OnePlus 5, you will have to buy it through the OnePlus website.
