Pandora iOS App Brings Offline Playback for Apple Watch

The newest Pandora iOS app update is officially here, and with it we see a lot of changes to the Apple Watch capabilities. With the Apple Watch app, this new version was built from scratch, from the ground up. There are a lot of new features that people have been asking for included in the Apple Watch app, including the ability to favorite a song from the Now Playing screen. Beyond that, the Pandora Apple Watch app has remote access playback, which was also a highly-requested feature.

The most important addition to the Pandora iOS app for Apple Watch is the new offline playback. With this new offline playback feature, you can now listen to Pandora without needing an Internet connection. There is a downside to this new offline playback feature though, which is that you need to have the paid Pandora subscription to use it.

This means that you need a Premium Pandora membership or have Pandora Plus in order to use the feature. If you are using the free version of Pandora on iOS, then you will not get the new Apple Watch offline playback feature.

Offline Playback Comes to Pandora Apple Watch App & Some Limitations Apply

So the biggest limitation with the offline playback feature for Apple Watch is that you need to be a paid subscriber to Pandora. The Pandora Plus membership is $4.99 per month, which is not too bad. Pandora Premium on the other hand is $9.99 per month.

With Pandora Plus you will get unlimited skips, unlimited replays, and an unlimited amount of personalized stations. You will also be able to choose four stations that you can listen to offline. Pandora Plus also offers you no advertisements, which is a great bonus.

Pandora Premium offers you a ton of other options and features too. If you pay the $9.99 per month for Premium, you will get everything you get with Pandora Plus and even more features. You will be able to create your own customized playlists and download any and all music for offline listening. With Premium you also can play any song you want and search for any song you want. There are so many more options with Pandora Premium if you love listening to music on your iOS device.

Pandora Offline Playback for Apple Watch is Great Added Feature

We are excited that the Pandora iOS app has added the offline playback for Apple Watch. Another limitation here though is that you cannot use the cellular data connection for the Apple Watch. You can only stream music using the cellular data connection with Apple Music.

Other than that, this new feature is going to be a great addition for those with an Apple Watch. You will love the new Apple Watch app and how many new features have been added. All of the new additions have been integrated seamlessly into the Pandora iOS app.

In order to use the new Apple Watch Pandora app, you will need to be at watchOS version 5. If you have not updated to watchOS 5, then now would be a good time to do that so you can enjoy the new Pandora app. Pandora is free to download right now from Apple’s App Store, but remember that you need the paid subscription to Pandora in order to use the new offline playback feature.
