Reasons why Facebook didn’t add a ‘dislike’ button: A five new Like buttons has been introduced by Facebook. But everybody wanted was not introduced because Facebook don’t want people to be mean to each other. The new reactions let users react to posts in five new ways. The reactions are ‘Love’, ‘Yay’, ‘Ha-Ha’, ‘wow’, ‘Angry’ and ‘Sad’. This was at least better than the dislike button which the users wanted along the original thumbs-up like one.  Mark Zuckerberg wrote, “Not every moment you want to share is happy,” he further added “Sometimes you want to share something sad or frustrating. Our community has been asking for a dislike button for years, but not because people want to tell friends they don’t like their posts.”

May be people have mixed emotions regarding a post they want to how anger or express empathy. With this wider range of emotions now it is possible. Mark said in a statement that people actually don’t want to show negativity towards a post but just want to say that they are not very happy with the content of the post. To show this there are two reactions available ‘Sad’ and ‘Angry’.

“Not everything in life is Likable” posted designer Geoff Teehan after the reactions were launched. Je expressed his argument by saying  “Binary ‘like’ and ‘dislike’ doesn’t properly reflect how we react to the vast array of things we encounter in our real lives,” the team had decided to launch more broad away of emoji but then that would be too complicated to give the users full range of all the emoji keyboard. The reason of not launching a dislike button was justified by Facebook representatives and they said that the dislike button could be used by people for bullying others or to upset someone. It is a cruel way of people to demotivate them by down voting their posts.
