We have great news about Sky: Children of the Light that was announced during E3. The new game, brought to you by the makers of Journey, is about to be released for iOS. We have known about Sky: Children of the Light for around two years, as it was announced to be in production back in 2017. Sky: Children of the Light Hits iOS July 11

It’s about time that Sky: Children of the Light gets an official release date! This is a game we first heard about way back in 2017, but it’s only now being released to iOS. A trailer for this game just dropped during E3 and you can watch this trailer below to get a better idea of the game itself.

You might have heard about the makers of this game before as it comes from the same group that made Journey. Journey was just released on the PC after being available for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The mobile gaming world has grown exponentially since Sky: Children of the Light was first talked about way back in 2017.

A lot of people were concerned about how this game would end up playing out, since it was announced a couple years ago. With the mobile gaming world changing all of the time, we thought this game might end up outdated before it even was released. Judging by the trailer for the game, we think the developers did just fine at tuning the game for 2019.

Sky: Children of the Light Pre-Orders Available Now

You can head to Apple’s App Store if you would like to pre-order the game right now. The game will officially drop on Apple’s App Store on July 11, which is not really that far away. One thing we love about this game is that it’s free-to-play, which is always nice! A lot of new information about the game as well as new screenshots are already live on the App Store listing for the game.

If you haven’t heard about Sky: Children of the Light before, we wanted to tell you a little bit about it. There are seven realms in this game that you can explore. You are going to be matched up with players from all over the world. There are definitely similarities between this game and Journey. If you liked Journey then you will love the matchmaking abilities in Sky.

Character Customization Also a Feature in Sky: Children of the Light

A few other details we know about this game is that there will be character customization in the game. You also can gift in the game, which means you have the chance to make some new friends and interact with them in this virtual world. The realms will continue to be expanded as the game grows, and those expansions will come slowly in the future updates.

We also know that seasonal events will take place throughout the year in this game. There aren’t too many other details about the game that have been revealed as of yet. As it gets closer to the release date of July 11, we expect to hear even more details that we can pass onto you. The game is free to download and play and you can pre-order right now if this sounds like a fun game to you. If you want to play this game, you will need to have iOS 9 or higher installed, which is not a big issue for most people.
