Snapchat Android Update Brings 60 Second Snaps

Oct 24, 2017

There is a new Snapchat Android update rolling out right now, which brings 60 second multi-snaps to the app. This is something that the iOS version rolled out a few months back. It is about time that the multi-snap feature is made available to those running on Android devices. We have all of the latest news about the new Snapchat Android update so read on to learn more.

Snapchat Android Update Brings Multi-Snap Feature & More to Users

When it comes to the Snapchat Android update, which is already live in Google Play Store, the new multi-snap feature is what everyone is talking about. If you are sharing video clips and recording videos using Snapchat, you will love the new multi-snap feature. This new feature allows you to take multiple snaps, which are all 10-seconds in length. You can do this up to six times so that you have a 60-second snap.

It is very easy to do this multi-snap recording, since you just have to keep your finger pressed down on the recording button. Keep your finger down past that 10-second mark and it will continue to record. You can only keep your finger pressed down for 6 snaps though, which is 60-seconds of video.

After you have recorded the multi-snaps, you will be able to delete any 10-second video part you want. This means that if something happens 40 seconds into the recording, just delete out the fourth snap video you took. Sometimes you might want to edit things out for clarity or content, but other times it is fun to make weird edits into your videos. You might find that you can create some funny moments and videos by deleting certain sections of the 60-second multi-snaps. With this feature, you also can still edit the videos like normal, using various text and filters. It will be able to be shared the same way as well, whether as a Story or sending it to your friends.

Snapchat Android Update Also Brings Halloween Themes

Also available in the Snapchat Android update is some Halloween themed items. You will find that you can draw things like ghosts and pumpkins with the special paint brushes. These are special strokes of the paint brush that will allow you to decorate your Snapchat with Halloween themes.

We do not know if this was a server-side change or if it appeared in this latest update though. Either way, it is part of the new update so that is definitely a good thing. Considering we still have a week until Halloween, now would be a good time to check out these new paint brush strokes specifically for Halloween.

If you would like to check out the new multi-snaps feature or the new Halloween themes, you can download the Snapchat Android update right now. If you currently have Snapchat on your Android device, you probably will be seeing the update in the next couple days. There is also a chance you have received the update already. If you are not sure whether you have the new version, you can always go to Google Play Store and check it out. Hopefully the new multi-snap feature will allow you to make even longer and better videos on the popular social media app.
