In these initial months, the Giant company, Sony claims that it has shipped around 3.5 million phones which according to them is very disappointing. They say that this is the least number that they have shipped in the last five years. The company thus according to the world seem to be struggling.
Sony states that among all the Android smartphone makers, it makes the most cheap phone
Nevertheless, last year we saw that Sony managed to take the credits because the average selling price of the company’s smart phones was the highest. The average selling price of the Sony smart phones was 422 dollars and the second highest average selling price was gotten by HTC. However, it is clear that Sony was almost as much as 78% more than HTC.
Although we find that the price is the maximum of the Apple gadgets, but still that is not taken into account since Apple is not place in the Android industry.

The average selling price that is calculated has a direct effect on the profits of the company. The more the ASP, the higher is the estimated profit. Thus, Since Sony has the highest ASP, they say that their company is the most profitable one. They accept that although they have shipped and sold the least number of units, they have made more profit than the other Android smart phone companies.
Sony claims that the average profit that they benefit per smart phone is approximately 26 dollars which also tops the list. The second placed company with the highest average profit is Samsung which makes a profit of 23 dollars per unit. Thus here also we find, Sony is ahead of Samsung by thirteen percent.
Thus with such estimates, we know that Sony is doing great business, at least till the previous year. Let’s see what happens this year.
The CEO of the Sony company also declared that they will be working on the looks and aim at re constructing the design and built so that they can maximize their profits and make further improvements. They also state the company has no plans to sell the company in the near future.
