It was nice for Capcom to finally announce that Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition is available for download on iOS. The game is now out on Apple’s App Store and you get a total of 25 characters from Street Fighter in this game. The action and gameplay controls are very similar to previous Street Fighter games, so if you have ever played Street Fighter before you will feel instantly right at home.
In this game, you will also have wide-screen support, which is there for the newer iOS devices. Even better than the wide-screen support is that you have three new characters in Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition. The three characters are Dudley, Ibuki, and Poison. The graphics are also much higher resolution in this game than in previous Street Fighter Games.
If this is your first time playing a Street Fighter game, then no worries because you will get tutorials and a ton of settings that will allow you to figure out the game with ease. You will have no issues learning the controls with the tutorials, which makes playing Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition even more fun for the casual iOS gamer. There will be six other characters coming in an update in the near future, so do not worry if you do not see all of the 25 characters quite yet.
Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition Additional Features
So not only does this game come with 25 characters and support for wide-screen devices, you will also find that there are four different difficulty levels in this game. There is an “SP” button where you can create super moves. Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition is also a multiplayer and single player game, so you can have tons of fun regardless of which mode you like to play. There is also support for things like the Gamevice, since this game support Mfi controllers.
You will be able to do all of the full moves you are used to with Street Fighter, including Ultra Combos and Focus Attacks. There are also Special Moves, Super Combos, and Unique Attacks in this game. Even better than that is that you will be able to battle with other players in head-to-head combat, which is really fun. If you want to battle with other players, you will need to use Wi-Fi so make sure you have a good Wi-Fi connection before getting into that mode.
All of these things are available in Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition, which is not a free game on iOS. This game will cost you $4.99 to download from Apple’s App Store, which is actually not a bad deal considering all of the characters and things you can do in this Street Fighter mobile game.
