The WhatsApp Business iOS app is going to be debuting very soon, according to new reports. Currently, the WhatsApp Business iOS app is being developed, so it might be a little while before it actually is released. We are learning of the development of the iOS version at the same time more features are about to be released on WhatsApp. If you have been looking forward to the iOS version of WhatsApp Business, then keep reading to learn all about the upcoming release.
WhatsApp Business iOS App Finally in Development
It is a relief that we finally know that the WhatsApp Business iOS app is in development right now. While we know it will be released at some point in the future, we do not know when that will be. Back in January, the Android version of WhatsApp Business was released.
Basically, WhatsApp Business is a business-oriented service offered by WhatsApp and caters to your business needs. Ever since the Android app was released, people have been asking for the iOS version. It appears that the team behind WhatsApp is hearing the feedback since the team is now developing the iOS version.
The initial phases are just now beginning, which means it could be several months until the iOS version is officially released. Even though the initial phases are just now starting, we should see a beta version released before too long. We learned from Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, that WhatsApp Business is already being used by over 3 million people worldwide.
That is pretty amazing considering at this point, it is only available for those on Android. Once the iOS version is released, WhatsApp Business is going to see even more downloads. Over 450 million people also are using the Status feature on WhatsApp, according to what Zuckerberg said at the F8 keynote. While the release of the WhatsApp Business iOS app is definitely something we are looking forward to, there is more news to talk about as well.
WhatsApp Business iOS App in Initial Stages as More Features Come to WhatsApp
WhatsApp itself is going to be getting a lot of new features in the near future. Most of the new features are being rolled out right now to the WhatsApp beta for Android. In the new beta for Android, which is version 2.18.138, we see a new domain name.
This new domain name is wa.me, which is what we call a short link. This will allow you to open up the chats automatically without needing the app in your browser. You should be able to type in wa.me/(the phone number) and get to the chat that is linked up with that person. If you need to quickly open up a chat in WhatsApp, this will be very helpful and get you to the contact you need without hassle.
There is also a new Top Emoji feature in the beta. This basically will allow you to quickly access all of the emojis you use the most. They will all be right at the very top of the emoji board, so just tap and use one of your most common emojis. In the new beta version of WhatsApp for Android, we also know that third-party sticks and group video calling are coming soon.
Another feature is Greeting Message, which will send you an automatic message if you are a new customer to WhatsApp. If you do not use WhatsApp for 14 days or more, then this new Greeting Message feature will also be sent to you.
Other WhatsApp Business iOS App Details We Know
Beyond that, we know that the WhatsApp Business iOS app is going to likely have all of the same features that the Android version has. Some features might not show up on the Android version until the iOS version is released. So there are new features in the Android WhatsApp beta, which is available right now if you want to check it out. If you are one of the thousands waiting on the iOS WhatsApp Business app, then you will just have to wait a little longer to check it out.
Hopefully, within the next couple months we will at least have an initial test version of the app to check out. If you have used the Android version, then you know what the WhatsApp Business app is all about. Whether you have a big business or small business, this new service will come in very handy. As soon as we have more information about the iOS version, we will pass it on. Until then, tell us in the comments if you have used the WhatsApp Business app before, and how it has been working out for you.
